Oxmarket Contemporary’s Wilson Gallery welcomes the Philpots, three artists from the same family, bringing together very different styles of work.

Ellie Philpot loves to create unique contemporary pieces that bring statement, perspectives and colour into a space. She uses everyday things around her as her subjects and strives to include narrative in her work, taking particular interest in the laws of nature and how the qualities of light and shade create form. 

Adam Philpot is a paramedic by background, a keen photographer in his spare time. His work is characterised by a mixture of film and digital mediums, exploring life as it passes.

Karah Philpot, a teacher, has returned to painting and uses gouache, acrylics and some watercolour to create colourful, straightforward and often humorous work. Karah’s work invites the viewer to become an active part of the artwork.
