Taking inspiration from objects of anthropological interest held in Oxford’s Pitt Rivers Museum, Claire Hoskin’s work fuses together photography, drawing and collage in an abstractive process which “evolves” the original museum artefacts into small-scale sculptural pieces. The sculptures are entirely made from natural and repurposed wood, textiles, metal and reclaimed plastic, echoing the nature of the original objects.
