Carmen and Madama Butterfly

3 May 4 May

© Ellen Kent Opera & Ballet International.

Two lavish Ellen Kent productions of Carmen and Madama Butterfly will be taking to the stage at Brighton’s Theatre Royal in May. Kent’s eye for dazzling set design, exquisite costumes and emotive performers solidifies her as a master of producing visually stunning operas with mass appeal. Bizet’s tumultuous Carmen, featuring famous melodies ‘Habanera’ and ‘Toreador Song’, promises an evening of passion, jealousy and violence set amongst the beautiful architecture of Seville. Puccini’s tragic Madama Butterfly, with its moving aria ‘One Fine Day’ and the captivating ‘Love Duet’, offers its audience a heartbreakingly beautiful performance of one of the world’s most popular operas. Both productions are coming to Brighton for one night only: Friday 3rd May for Carmen and Saturday 4th May for Madama Butterfly, so book tickets quickly if you’d like to witness the remarkable spectacle these productions promise to be.

Both performances start at 19:45 and tickets are available on the ATG website.
