Located in an unassuming building just off Ditchling’s village green, Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft began its storied existence as a place to display the work of local artists (of which there have been, and continue to be, an inordinate number). Visitors can expect events and exhibitions that explore Ditchling’s rich and not insignificant place in the history of twentieth-century British art. The museum boasts a fascinating permanent collection, from which pieces are often drawn for exhibitions, as well as great relationships with external museums across the country and around the world.
