FAQs
Sussex Craft Week is a new regional festival of craft. During 14-22 June 2025, visitors will have the opportunity to discover a lively programme of exhibitions, courses, open workshops, demonstrations and events across Sussex.
Sussex Craft Week is a full-spectrum showcase: ceramics, stone carving, woodwork, furniture making, metalwork, jewellery, textiles, printmaking, glass, papercraft, mixed media, analogue photography, and more. The connection is handcraft, the emphasis on skill.
The whole of Sussex: East and West, plus Brighton & Hove.

Yes. Makers’ collectives, studio groups and craft businesses are more than welcome to join in. The idea is to curate your own event, which we promote as part of Sussex Craft Week.
Individual exhibitions and events are curated independently. Sussex Craft Week will vet all events before listing and promoting them as part of Sussex Craft Week. The criteria is straightforward: genuinely skilled handcraft events that take place in Sussex during 14-22 June 2025.
It doesn’t have to be for the whole week. Any time and day/s during 14-22 June is fine.
There are two packages for major venues or organisations: Flagship Exhibition and SCW Event. And there are two packages for makers: Makers Exhibition and Makers Event. Rates vary according to the advertising required and start at £50 (or FREE for ROSA Artist Members). See the packages here
A series of Open Calls for exhibitions will be announced shortly. These are organised by Sussex Craft Week partner organisations, including Sussex Contemporary and Tutton & Young. They will first be announced to ROSA Artist Members (in February 2025), before being publicised widely.
