From 10 June until 24 November, Petworth House will be showcasing the conservation of Angelica Kauffman’s Diomed and Cressida. The show will make clear to visitors the many ways in which significant paintings are looked after and maintained so beautifully. The display includes a small feature film documenting the conservation of the painting, as well as embedded historical facts about Kauffman, the history behind Petworth and the Shakespeare gallery.
