Vanessa Bell’s unconventional life story often overshadows her work as an artist, and this exhibition works hard to make amends. Featuring over 100 paintings and decorative arts, and claiming to be the biggest-ever solo show of her oeuvre, it demonstrates just how experimental Bell was.
This group exhibition from Arundel's outstanding Gallery57 features a wide variety of mediums, with paintings and photography shown alongside the textural and sculptural pieces that the gallery is perhaps best known for. Expect quasi-Victorian micro-landscapes by Jacob Crivello, dreamy photographic collages by Frances Bloomfield, and folk-inspired ceramic sculpture by Louise Bell, plus much more.
