Horley’s new collection of ceramic vessels has been made with the following question in mind: How do we hold onto objects and how do objects hold onto us?

The Call from Things speaks of her experience growing up in a family that saved and preserved objects over centuries, handing on letters and artefacts from one generation to the next, not rooted in one place but shipped across continents and seas.

For Horley, objects have been an anchor.

The artworks are shown alongside items from her life.
