Earlier this summer, the inaugural exhibition at Julian Page Projects saw a blowout print showcase, tracing something of an evolution of the medium from sixty years ago to the present day. The show featured work by Frank Auerbach, Bridget Riley, and David Hockney, to name just a few. Now, going from strength to strength, the Chichester gallery hosts a solo presentation of work by another of those artists featured in that first show, Marcus Rees Roberts. This Dark Shore derives inspiration from Dante and Homer, drawing on scenes from Inferno and Odyssey as a lens through which to consider our contemporary climate. The work is all new or recent, and consists of paintings, prints and artist’s books.
