The first major presentation of the influential Brazilian artist’s work in the UK for 15 years, this show constitutes a real coup for the Bexhill gallery, to help light up East Sussex’s ‘Turner season’. This exhibition will concentrate on the late sculptor, installation artist and filmmaker’s experimental and seminal work in the late 60s and 70s, when he was based in Sussex (as resident artist at the University), London and New York, and will be spread across the Pavilion’s gallery spaces. Expect vivid colours, a Jimi Hendrix soundtrack… and hammocks to relax in. How can you resist?
