This year’s summer festival at the historic opera house opens with Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Sevilla (May 16-July 3) followed by the first-ever Glyndebourne staging of Wagner’s psychological drama Parsifal (May 17- June 24). Later on in the summer we can look forward to Handel’s Saul, Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro, Verdi’s Falstaff and Janáček’s Káťa Kabanová. All, of course, with the famous 90-minute interval for hampers and champers in the beautiful gardens, or a meal in one of the restaurants
