A new look at the influences/influencers of modernism

Curator Dr Hope Wolf’s show, drawing on work from the late 19th century to the present day, examines a recent history of complex and compelling art created in Sussex, rejecting lazy assumptions about provincialism, and introducing the concept of ‘new regionalism’. There will be works by names you’d expect in this context (Jacob Epstein, Ivon Hitchens) and names that maybe you wouldn’t (Sophie Barber, Jeff Keen).
