Oxmarket Contemporary are excited to welcome back Don Noble for his third exhibition, having exhibited in 2011 and 2015. Don usually sells to private collectors and has recently undertaken some portrait commissions.  Don is inspired by contemporary life, and by the specificity of existing at particular points of time and space. He finds a poignancy in this, and a desire to celebrate it. Most recently Don has been working from his studio in Billingshurst on interpreting The Uninhabitable Earth, a book by David Wallace Wells about global warming, and what could happen in the future. Inspired by Wells’ book, Don has created a series of eight very topical paintings entitled A View of the World. These new paintings have a surreal quality to them. Don says ‘My painting is a personal exploration and I am never sure what the outcome will be’.
