For over 40 years, Chicagoan artist Barbara Kasten, much influenced by Bauhaus and in particular Laszlo Moholy-Nagy, has been producing work examining the nature of dimensionality, often using mirrors, lights, and props for conceptually based, increasingly abstract pieces. Her first solo presentation in the UK is a site-specific installation responding to De La Warr Pavilion’s distinctive architectural features. On the upper-floor is the conceptual/abstract work of London-based artist Rebecca Bellantoni.
