Standen House and Garden
19 Apr 2:14 AM

Tucked rather neatly into the High Weald somewhere between East Grinstead and the Ashdown Forest, Standen is well-known for its association with icons of the late-Victorian period William Morris and Phillip Webb. Indeed, great care and attention is taken by its present owners, the National Trust, to make sure the house’s Morris & Co interiors and accompanying sense of craftmanship are retained as far as they can be. As a visitor you can explore the manor house and the vast acres of surrounding garden, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside.
