Sussex Craft Week at Farleys

Throughout their lives Lee Miller and Roland Penrose supported emerging artists and makers and Farleys is proud to carry this legacy by providing studios for Sussex creatives and showing work in their sculpture garden and shop. The studios are all open for Craft Week. Explore a wide selection of original ceramics, woodwork, furniture, jewellery, millinery, sculpture, textiles and meet the makers. Entrance charges for the House & Gallery. Visits to the Yard are free.
Hastings International Ceramics Fair

27-28 June
The Hastings International Ceramics Fair enters its second year with over 40+ ceramicists & potters using techniques from Raku to decorative to wild clay. This year the raffle prize and advertising has been designed and created by MEW with proceeds going towards the Refugee Buddy project. This year the fair is also celebrating 4oth anniversary of the St Leonard’s Liz Emtage Ceramic studio. BUNKA will have the terrace with a delicious food and drink offer open all weekend. Free.
The Maker’s Fair
Middle Farm

The Maker’s Fair makes its debut at Middle Farm this June with a special Summer Solstice weekend celebrating rural craft, folklore, and the rich creative heritage of Sussex. Set within one of the region’s oldest working farms, the event brings together a thoughtfully curated selection of makers whose work is rooted in creative techniques, storytelling, and a deep connection to the landscape.
Visitors can expect a vibrant gathering of artists and craftspeople showcasing ceramics, textiles, jewellery, printmaking, woodwork, slow fashion, and more. As with all events by The Maker’s Fair, the focus is on creating an inspiring and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can meet makers directly, learn about their processes, and discover handmade work.
The Sussex Guild Contemporary Craft Show
Plumpton College

A prestigious fair where Sussex Guild members show their handmade ceramics, furniture, glass, jewellery, knitwear, silversmithing, textiles and woodwork. Meet the makers to discuss their signature techniques and design inspirations.This is the inaugural show at Plumpton College to be held in the newly built state-of the-art conference venue, the AgriFood Centre and a part of the college’s centenary celebrations. Ample parking. Onsite cafe.
