Jacqueline Stanley, who died in December 2022, had work exhibited at Rye Art Gallery from its inception in the 1960s, and was featured – in the group show Colony – as recently as the summer of 2022. She was a talented draughtsman and a multifaceted painter, creating landscapes, cityscapes and portraits throughout her long career. Her work will be shown alongside that of other women artists connected with the gallery over the years.
