Returning with yet another great lineup, this year’s edition of Shoreham Wordfest features former Children’s Laureate Michael Rosen in conversation, an afternoon with Gyles Brandreth, and a day-long exploration of Sussex history with award-winning authors and leading academics.

On 4 October, the Wordfest welcomes Sir Tony Robinson with the launch of his debut novel The House of Wolf. The star of Time Team and Blackadder will be speaking and signing copies of his book at the historic St Mary de Haura church from 8pm.

Plus, on 7 October there is a special event to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen’s birth. Austen expert Dr Helena Kelly and novelist Jessica Bull, who has written two novels inspired by Austen, will discuss Austen’s legacy and works.
