Drawing his concept from Pulp’s song Mis-Shapes, Julian Page asked some of the UK’s top artists to respond with works that might stand out from the bulk of their practice; or that do not fit in with wider artistic norms; or, simply, that have misfits as subject matter. The exhibition will be accompanied by a soundtrack chosen by the artists, who include: Peter Doig, Bridget Riley, Laura Ford, Tony Cragg, Liorah Tchiprout, Tom Hammick, Phyllida Barlow, Abigail Norris, Marcelle Hanselaar and Richard Hamilton. Is the misfit of today the prophet of tomorrow?
