Glyndebourne Festival 2026
21 May – 30 Aug

Glyndebourne’s 2026 season mixes landmark firsts with signature revivals, opening with the festival’s first-ever staging of Puccini’s Tosca – complete with the spine-tingling aria E lucevan le stelle ringing out across the Sussex countryside – and followed by another major debut: Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo, the earliest opera in the repertoire finally taking its Glyndebourne bow. Strauss’s shimmering Ariadne auf Naxos adds a touch of high-octane theatricality, while a trio of revivals brings back Rossini’s riotous Il Turco in Italia, Britten’s sea-carved Billy Budd, and Mozart’s sparkling Die Entführung aus dem Serail. All delivered with Glyndebourne’s trademark polish and pastoral charm.
