Amy M learned her craft in Hong Kong and London before moving down to Arundel in West Sussex.

Formerly she would paint in oil or acrylic,  but now prefers to work in epoxy resin, layering each colour to create a translucent final image in vibrant bright colours.

Her figurative subjects include animals, tropical birds and flowers but as with many artists she has another series which are more abstract. The latter pieces evoke other worlds or microcosms. Notably Amy paints in large scale on canvas pieces up to 170cm, she finds that this suits her style.

Amy Mattey has exhibited in Singapore and Dubai as well as in the UK. Her work has been collected by Chinese celebrities.
