Set within the South Downs National Park in Wealden District, and renowned for its independent businesses, historic buildings and creative spirit, Alfriston provides an ideal backdrop for celebrating the skills and stories behind heritage and contemporary making.

Inviting collaboration between Alfriston’s local businesses and its leading craftspeople, Craft Town Alfriston is a chance for visitors to discover a range of handcrafted and bespoke artisan goods, and to engage with craft locally in one of Sussex’s most picturesque villages. 

Follow Alfriston’s winding high street to discover curated displays in 20 shops and business windows, alongside workshops, exhibitions and creative demonstrations involving 40 local makers. Work on show includes ceramics, paper engineering, woodwork, jewellery, textiles, basketry, metalwork, leathercraft and millinery. All the works are by skilled Sussex makers.

Craft Town Alfriston is organised by ROSA (Review of Sussex Arts CIC) and supported by Wealden District Council, and Creative Wealden.
