Will Spankie is an artist-maker working predominantly in stone and wood. He studied at Sir John Cass School of Art, at both Goldsmiths College and Central St. Martins School of Art, at the University of the Arts, London gaining a Masters from the The University of Sussex, Brighton.

Public and private commissions for sculpture, garden ornament and lettering can be found on a regional and international level from Weald and Downland Open Air Museum, to St Albans Cathedral, Brighton Dome to The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida. He is a Friend of the Edward Johnston Foundation and a member of the Landscape and Art Network. He is also a teacher of stone carving and letter cutting.

Spankie’s work is influenced by organic forms, material and the environment; and his interests lie in the geometric structures, patterns, symmetry and proportion found in nature. His primary material is Jurassic limestone, which he sources near his home in East Sussex.
