Growing up in Africa before moving to England as a child, Sarah developed a lasting sensitivity to contrast and cultural interplay — influences that remain central to her work. Nature is her starting point, with botanical forms transformed into expressive, theatrical characters through bold colour, intricate detail and playful shifts in scale.

Working across fashion, textiles, interiors and fine art, Sarah’s practice is rooted in drawing, painting and process. Her work celebrates transformation – flora imbued with personality and gardens reimagined as stages for storytelling – as she continues to explore new ways to animate the botanical world.

At ROSA Botanical Art Fair, Sarah will present her Floral Character paintings and fine art prints.

Vivienne Ridley is a Brighton-based jeweller who creates limited edition pieces guided by the antique and vintage items she meticulously collects. Within her vast collection of finds, Vivienne has been curating all things botanical for this very opportunity. A mixture of materials, varying in scale, will make up her unique jewellery series. Her love and study of botanical imagery and form have always been an integral part of her life and work, inspired by the boldness of nature, its unexpected colours, and its gentleness.

Bound by a shared love of florals, the two artists come together in a celebration of nature, craftsmanship and creative dialogue. Through mutual inspiration and playful exploration, they have combined their distinct styles to create, in addition to their own individual works, a series of collaborative pieces: delicate yet expressive works deeply rooted in botanical beauty.
