Jade Taylor’s work is a response to the beauty and fragility of the natural world, in particular our native wildlife, habitats and ecosystems. Working with the rhythms of nature, Taylor’s delicate collaged works are created from painstakingly cut and layered botanical rice paper prints on linen, creating hidden narratives within detailed observations.

Trained as a textile designer, Taylor’s love of colour and pattern continues to influence her practice, which is focused on printmaking. The economy of Japanese design is a strong influence on her composition, as she pares back the natural world to skilfully reveal nature’s stories.

Taylor won Mammal Illustrator of the Year 2025, was selected for the RA Summer Exhibition 2024, the Society of Women Artists at the Mall 2023, and the Chelsea Art Society. Her work is held in private collections in the UK, Europe, New Zealand and Japan.
