Based in Petworth, Ottocento Fine Art is an established dealership run by  husband and wife Max and Louise Andrews, who share over 40 years collective experience in the fine art world.

Ottocento Fine Art’s stand at the Botanical Art Fair presents an eclectic and carefully considered selection of 20th-century works inspired by the natural world. Spanning botanical studies, landscape, and design, the curation brings together artists who approached nature with sensitivity, curiosity, and individuality. Highlights centre on Bernard Myers’ vividly coloured pastel still lifes, in which flowers become vehicles for bold colour, rhythm, and compositional design. These are shown alongside works by Phyllis Bray, a deeply talented yet under-recognised artist and illustrator whose free and poetic vision was shaped by her involvement with the East London Art Group and her close association with Hans Feibusch. A small selection of works by Feibusch further enriches this dialogue, offering important context for Bray’s artistic development. Rarer works on paper, including an early botanical study by Andy Warhol and nature-based designs by illustrator Edward Ridley, are further fascinating additions. United by a shared attentiveness to form and observation, the stand reflects Ottocento Fine Art’s commitment to discovering distinctive, often overlooked works from the past that reward close looking and thoughtful collecting.
